UNFOLD is an immersive audiovisual piece based on the mathematical concepts of Fractals and their correspondence with biological forms. Through a three-dimensional visual and sound narrative, the viewer is immersed in a world of visual algorithms using Mandelbrot and Julia's sets to represent their presence in natural systems ranging from human DNA to the rings of Saturn. It explores the different possibilities of interaction between writing, visual and sound media and mathematical art, thus providing forms, techniques and procedures that can be applied to expanded audiovisual narratives.
